The President is responsible for running monthly PAC meetings, keeping open communication with PAC members, Joint PAC Presidents, school staff and providing direction for committee chairs. Duties include working with the Treasurer and Budget Planning Committee to determine school activities, calendar and budget.

The Vice President assists the President in representing Ridges Elementary. The Vice President is responsible for overseeing the Fun Run fundraising activities and assisting each fundraising event chairperson as needed.

On a monthly basis, the Secretary is responsible for recording and archiving meeting minutes. The Secretary works closely with the Communications Director to include the same information on our website and on social media networks and keeps the Ridges Google Drive organized and up to date.

Treasurer:

The Treasurer maintains bookkeeping of PAC funds and annual budget, reports monthly status of funds in PAC banking accounts, makes regular deposits of PAC funds into PAC bank account, and reports on the execution of the annual budget. They also fill out and file the PAC’s tax forms, serve as the Finance/ Budget Committee Chair, if such a committee is formatted, and maintain at least four (4) years of tax records easily accessible to all PAC members to view.

The Volunteer Coordinators coordinates the volunteers of the school into the various areas of interest, collects, and organizes volunteer form information, and verifies with school staff that volunteers have submitted an application for a criminal background check and have received approval to work within the school. They keep a database with the volunteer information organized so when volunteers are needed they can be contacted in a timely fashion.

Events & Hospitality Director: Victoria Hudson

The Events and Hospitality director coordinates non-fundraising, PAC sponsored activities by determining Committee Chairs, explaining their responsibilities and supporting the committees throughout the year. They are responsible for supplying refreshments at certain PAC events, organizing potluck dinners for staff during conferences, coordinating Staff Appreciation week and arranging catering for the year end staff luncheon, as well as sending out birthday cards with small gifts to all Ridge’s staff throughout the year.

The Communications Director is responsible for promoting school and PAC sponsored events through local press, social media and the PAC website.  This may include writing articles, updating the PAC website and posting upbeat descriptions about events on our social media networks. This person will work with the Secretary to ensure communications are consistent.

 

Program Coordinators

Fun Run Coordinators: Amanda Mulder, Nikki Orr, Melinda Courtney

The Fun Run Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the annual Fun Run event, the school's largest fundraising activity. This role includes developing a timeline, coordinating with school staff, managing volunteers, securing sponsors, and overseeing event logistics such as registration, t-shirts, and prizes. The coordinator ensures the event runs smoothly and successfully, engages the school community, and maximizes fundraising efforts to support school programs and initiatives.

Art Lit: Candee Ward

The Art Lit Program Coordinator shares three prepared lessons and art projects from October-April. This “hands on” program teaches kids how to appreciate and enjoy art through exposure to a wide array of artists and art mediums including paint, pastels, clay, graphite and mixed media. Just like math or science, art literacy is a discipline in which skills are built upon each year. Art Lit enlarges our students’ ability to express themselves through their own artistic creations – and it’s a whole lot of fun, too! Our PAC generously provides funding for the lessons and project materials.

Passport Club: Betsy Wilberg

Our Passport Club Coordinator oversees the school's Passport Club program, which educates students about world geography and cultures. Responsibilities include organizing monthly geography challenges, scheduling and conducting check days, distributing educational materials, managing volunteer helpers, and coordinating special events. The coordinator ensures the program runs smoothly and engages students in fun, interactive learning about global awareness.

Chess Club: Larry Todd

The Chess Club Coordinator organizes and manages the school's Chess Club, overseeing all activities and events. Responsibilities include scheduling regular practice sessions, arranging matches and tournaments, providing instructional support to players, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment. The coordinator ensures the club runs smoothly and fosters a love of chess among students.

Apparel: Amy Seely

Our Apparel Coordinator manages and coordinates the design, ordering, and distribution of school apparel for the students and staff.

Student Store: Nikki Orr

The Student Store Coordinator manages the school's student store, overseeing the selection, ordering, and inventory of merchandise. Responsibilities include scheduling store hours, training and supervising volunteers, handling sales transactions, and ensuring the store operates efficiently. The coordinator also promotes the store to students and staff, ensuring a variety of appealing and useful products are available

Popcorn: David Raver

The Popcorn Coordinator provides popcorn to 700+ students and staff once a month as well as at special events such as movie nights and bingo. Responsibilities include ordering supplies, scheduling popping days, organizing volunteers, and ensuring popcorn is prepared and delivered to students and staff efficiently. The coordinator ensures a smooth operation that adds a fun and tasty element to the school experience.

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising initiatives to support school programs and activities. This role involves collaborating with parents, teachers, and community members to identify fundraising opportunities and manage events. The coordinator will track fundraising progress, communicate updates to the PAC, and ensure compliance with school policies.

Decor: Candee Ward

The Decor Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing seasonal and event-specific decorations throughout the school. Duties include supporting event decor themes, organizing materials, and coordinating with the President, Event/Hospitality Director, and Dance Coordinator for various events throughout the year. The coordinator is also responsible for setting up and taking down decorations, ensuring the school environment is welcoming and festive for students, staff, and visitors.

The Dance Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing our annual school dance. Duties include selecting themes, organizing decorations and supplies, and overseeing event setup and cleanup. The coordinator works closely with the PAC, volunteers, and school staff to ensure a successful and enjoyable dance event for students.
