Before you volunteer

Want to Volunteer? Complete these 3 easy steps:

  1. Create a HelpCounter account

  2. Submit a background check. EVERY volunteer needs a background check for the current school year on file, even if you completed one last year. They can take up to two weeks to verify, so if you think you’d like to volunteer at any point during the school year, it's a great idea to get it done early so you don't have to miss out on an event.

  3. Email our Volunteer Coordinators (RidgesVolunteers@gmail.com) to let us know you’ve completed these steps and we will notify you when you’re cleared to volunteer.


Volunteer Opportunities

Many volunteer opportunities are advertised on this website, our Facebook page, Teacher’s emails or in the Principal’s Weekly Update sent out each Friday.

We know that signing up to volunteer can sometimes be confusing or intimidating, especially if you are new to Ridges or haven't volunteered before. If you have any questions or concerns about what to expect, feel free to ask our office staff, email RidgesElementaryPAC@gmail.com or reach out to the coordinator of the event/activity you are helping with. THANK YOU for your time and service.


Don’t forget to check in & out at the front office

When you arrive on the day of your volunteer shift, stop by the office to check in and print a volunteer sticker. Don’t forget to check out when you leave the school.
